Hot Tapping and Line Plugging 4″

4″ Hot Tapping & Line Plugging

As part of a live water network intervention, we carried out a DN100 PN16 line plugging operation, enabling safe work without interrupting service.

The operation began with the supply and installation of a full-encirclement tapping fitting and a full-bore valve. Once our teams and equipment were mobilized, a controlled under-pressure drilling was performed, preceded by a nitrogen tightness test.

In parallel, a mechanical saddle and a secondary 1″ valve were installed to allow for network purging. A second hot tap was carried out for this purpose.

The line plug was then inserted to isolate the targeted section, allowing downstream work to be conducted under optimal conditions. Continuous monitoring was ensured throughout the plugging phase. At the end of the intervention, the system was safely removed and all components dismantled with care.

This operation reflects our expertise in live network interventions, combining safety, precision, and technical control.

Machining of rudder stock bearing surface

Machining of Rudder Stock Bearing Surface – MARTINIQUE

A precision machining operation was carried out on the bearing surface of a rudder stock system, as part of a technical intervention conducted in Martinique. The primary objective of this service was to restore the geometrical integrity of the bearing surface to ensure safe and compliant operation.

The intervention was executed in several phases: preparation and setup of the working environment, initial inspection of the affected area, installation of an orbital machining system, alignment based on reference surfaces, and then the actual machining process. A final inspection validated the operation before disassembling the equipment and closing the worksite.

The teams maintained rigorous oversight throughout the operation—from site assessment to the drafting of the final intervention reports. All deployed resources were aimed at ensuring high-quality machining in a demanding technical environment.

This type of service showcases the expertise available for on-site metrology and machining operations, performed under real-world conditions while adhering to industrial standards of safety, cleanliness, and traceability.

Metrological control of the fixed parts of the G2

Metrology Inspection of the Fixed Parts of a Vertical Unit

A dimensional inspection was carried out on the fixed parts of unit G2 within an industrial facility, as part of an on-site metrology campaign.

The objective of this mission was to verify the geometric conformity of the fixed structures, which are essential to the stability and proper functioning of the equipment. This type of inspection helps prevent misalignments, ensures mechanical interfaces, and guarantees the quality of assemblies.

Measurements were performed using high-precision instruments, enabling rigorous and representative data collection of the components, in accordance with the site’s technical requirements.

All points outlined in the inspection plan were covered. A comprehensive report was issued at the end of the intervention, serving as a basis for monitoring the condition of the structures and planning any necessary maintenance actions.

This type of service is part of a dimensional control approach and actively contributes to the overall reliability of industrial installations.
