Machining of Rudder Stock Bearing Surface – MARTINIQUE

A precision machining operation was carried out on the bearing surface of a rudder stock system, as part of a technical intervention conducted in Martinique. The primary objective of this service was to restore the geometrical integrity of the bearing surface to ensure safe and compliant operation.

The intervention was executed in several phases: preparation and setup of the working environment, initial inspection of the affected area, installation of an orbital machining system, alignment based on reference surfaces, and then the actual machining process. A final inspection validated the operation before disassembling the equipment and closing the worksite.

The teams maintained rigorous oversight throughout the operation—from site assessment to the drafting of the final intervention reports. All deployed resources were aimed at ensuring high-quality machining in a demanding technical environment.

This type of service showcases the expertise available for on-site metrology and machining operations, performed under real-world conditions while adhering to industrial standards of safety, cleanliness, and traceability.
