Geometric Inspection of a Shaft at a Hydroelectric Site

A measurement campaign was conducted on a drive shaft as part of an on-site intervention at a hydroelectric facility. The objective was to inspect its position as well as that of several nearby reference elements, such as flats and locating spheres.

The inspection was carried out using a high-precision laser tracker, enabling the acquisition of three-dimensional geometric data directly under operational conditions. All measurements were adjusted to a standard reference temperature to ensure accuracy and reliability.

This operation made it possible to precisely determine the position and orientation of the shaft, while also establishing its relative distances to peripheral reference points. The recorded geometric configuration can serve as a baseline for future adjustments or as part of ongoing dimensional monitoring of the installation.

All elements defined in the scope of the mission were measured in accordance with expectations, ensuring full traceability of the system’s geometry.
